Where you can be transported back in time!
Welcome to the Transport Museum, Wythall. We are situated in north Worcestershire, just to the south of Birmingham near to M42 Juntion 3 so we're also handily placed for visitors from the West Midlands and further afield. We have extensive collections of buses and battery electric vehicles with a cafe, shop and kids kabin activity area, plus a miniature railway that operates on event days and certain days during school holidays
OPENING TIMES
Our season runs from March 27th to November 3rd 2024. We are open on Saturdays and Sundays plus Wednesdays during local school holidays 10.30am-4pm. On Bank Holidays and our other main event days we open 10.30am-4.30pm
STATFOLD BARN
Transport Museum Wythall has partnered with the Statfold Narrow Gauge Railway, situated just outside Tamworth, to provide the public transport element of its new road transport museum. This has allowed us to establish a small 'reserve collection' away from Wythall with a selection of our vehicles on display to the public on their open days
WHAT'S ON SHOW?
The museum is home to over 90 buses. Midland Red, WMPTE blue and cream and the corporation fleets from Birmingham, Walsall, West Bromwich and Wolverhampton are all represented, plus local independent operators.
We are also home to the largest collection of battery electric road vehicles, including over 30 electric milk floats and bread vans from operators such as the Co-op, Midland Counties and Birmingham and Handsworth Dairies
