Visitor Information

Our 2018 season starts on the 24th of March and runs to the 31st October. During this period we are open at weekends from 11am to 4.30pm and we are also open on Wednesdays 11am to 4.30pm during school holidays. On Bank Holidays and other main event days we are open from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Click here for full calendar of openings and admission prices.

We are situated in north Worcestershire, just to the south of Birmingham near to M42 Juntion 3 so we're also handily placed for visitors from the West Midlands and further afield. Click here for more details of how to get here.

OUR DISPLAY HALLS

Display Halls

HALL 1 - The Power Hall Situated in front of the admission kiosk as you enter, it shows how public transport enabled people to get out and about, plus plenty of insights into the operating and manufacturing sides of the industry. The Art Depot area contains lots of examples of bus company art and photography.

HALL 2 Situated to the rear of the cafe, Hall 2 contains our Battery Electrics and more buses. Don't miss these gems at the back of the site, including the largest collection of restored battery electric vehicles in the world and probably the largest Birmingham coat-of-arms, set in stone outside the main entrance.

HALL 3 opposite the side of the Power Hall is our display yard and Hall 3, Mr Shire's Garage, home to the running fleet. This is where volunteers restore and maintain our collections ranging from immaculate to almost total wrecks.

KIDS & FAMILIES

Kids and Families

For KIDS AND FAMILIES, we have a family ticket and our 'Kids Kabin' area has a selection of toys and activity sheets. There are also a number of interactive exhibits in the Power Hall.

Miniature Train

THE MINIATURE TRAIN runs all day on our event days. Occasionally it runs on other days during the season depending on volunteer availability. See separate website for further details

Opposite the miniature train station, there's a grassed picnic area complete with teddy bear's picnic

CAFE & SHOP

The Cafe

In the cafe, hot and cold drinks, biscuits, crisps and chocolate snacks are always available. On event days, freshly prepared sandwiches and homemade cakes are also available.

The Shop

In our shop we have gifts and toys for the kids and an ever changing, massive selection of books, models, timetables and other goods, both new and pre-owned.

A small selection of books from the shop are available to buy in our online shop, click here to see more

BUS RIDES & EVENT DAYS

On Saturdays and Wednesdays during local school holidays and half terms we operate classic bus services at 1.30pm and 2.30pm. All our main event days feature bus rides and special timetables, see our events list for more details
