Visitor Information
Our 2024 season starts on the 27th March and runs to the 3rd November. During this period we are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.30am to 4.00pm, and we are also open on Wednesdays 10.30am to 4.00pm during school holidays. On Bank Holidays and other main event days we are open from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Click here for full calendar of openings and admission prices.
We are situated in north Worcestershire, just to the south of Birmingham near to M42 Juntion 3 so we're also handily placed for visitors from the West Midlands and further afield. Click here for more details of how to get here.
OUR DISPLAY HALLS
HALL 1 - The Power Hall Situated in front of the admission kiosk as you enter, it shows how public transport enabled people to get out and about, plus plenty of insights into the operating and manufacturing sides of the industry. The Art Depot area contains lots of examples of bus company art and photography.
HALL 2 Situated to the rear of the cafe, Hall 2 contains our Battery Electrics and more buses. Don't miss these gems at the back of the site, including the largest collection of restored battery electric vehicles in the world and probably the largest Birmingham coat-of-arms, set in stone outside the main entrance.
HALL 3 opposite the side of the Power Hall is our display yard and Hall 3, Mr Shire's Garage, home to the running fleet. This is where volunteers restore and maintain our collections ranging from immaculate to almost total wrecks.
KIDS & FAMILIES
For KIDS AND FAMILIES, we have a family ticket and our 'Kids Kabin' area has a selection of toys and activity sheets. There are also a number of interactive exhibits in the Power Hall. For the very young, we have a nursing mothers station and nappy change facilities.
Opposite the miniature train station, there's a grassed picnic area complete with outdoor play facilities
