Walsall & District Co-op Milk Float 955 ADH

This model was the backbone of the builder's production throughout the 1950s, selling in huge numbers all over the UK. For many years, Walsall & District Co-op's electric vehicle fleet comprised only Smiths-built vehicles, the dairy trucks predominantly 30cwt S65 models, identical to our no.403. This Co-op unusually specified cab doors for its door-to-door delivery vehicles. No.403 is at present being restored. [photo: Maurice Collignon]
